Bedfont Wu Shu Kwan
Safer Training Schedule for Reducing Risk of Covid-19 Infection

    Preliminary

  • You may only train if, for the past 14 days, you have not displayed any symptoms of Covid-19.
  • You train at your own risk, the insurance with your Wu Shu Kwan membership does not cover you for Covid-19.
  • Class size will be limited to a maximum of 8 students (maximum number is subject to current government restriction). Please contact me to confirm a place each week. If you are unable to attend subsequently after confirmation, please let me know as early as possible so that your place can be offered to other students.
  • Instructor and students to come dressed ready for training or be able to change without using changing rooms.
  • Hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes for cleaning your feet or training shoes will be provided. During the pandemic, you are allowed to wear suitable training shoes when training.
  • Please bring your own water or refreshments as required.
  • Arrival at Bedfont Sports Club

  • When turning up for class, use the main doors to the hall only, DO NOT go through the bar area.
  • Parents must not enter the hall when dropping or collecting their child, they must wait outside keeping the exit clear and a safe distance from other parents who also are collecting their child.
  • Use provided hand sanitiser upon entering the training hall, and use hand sanitiser frequently and timely throughout the session.
  • Place your training bag (holdall) to the side and 2 metres from other bags.
  • Take up a space in the hall, and should be 2 metres apart from anyone else.
  • If training bare feet, please wipe down your feet with antibacterial wipes.
  • Students to sign Covid-19 form to confirm they have no symptoms and happy to train.
  • Class Training

  • Students will be spaced at least 2 metres apart.
  • Students have the option of wearing mask and suitable shoes whilst training.
  • No pairing-up with another person for warm-up exercises, and replacement stretching exercises will be taught in class.
  • Sanitise / wash hands after warm-up exercises.
  • Wu Shu Kwan class drill – as normal.
  • Sanitise / wash hands after class drill.
  • Class break – keeping at least 2 metres apart even when having a rest or going back to fetch any item from your bag (holdall).
  • Fixed sparring – no pairing-up to avoid contact but will be taught individually.
  • No free sparring – sparring techniques will be taught and practised individually.
  • Class Finish and Exit

  • Students to sanitise hands after class and wipe feet with antibacterial wipes if trained in bare feet.
  • Exit will be through the hall door.
  • When leaving, avoid crowding, and everyone should remember to maintain safe social distancing at all times.
  • Based on the current government guidelines and guided by its latest updates and restrictions, any of the above details is subject to change with the objective of improving safety and reducing risk of Covid-19 infection.
